ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, was visited here by Fawad Hasan Fawad, the acting minister for privatization and interprovincial coordination.

PSM is no longer listed for privatization.
The Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) were taken from the state-owned enterprises' privatization list by the interim administration a few days ago.

A revised list of state-owned enterprises (SoEs) that would be transferred to the private sector as part of the government's privatization plan has been released.

Under the current government policy, 26 SoE—four in the banking and four in the real estate sectors—will be privatized in total.

The ailing energy sector of the nation is represented by a maximum of 14 state institutions on the new list of privatizations.
The sole SoE in the aviation industry listed on the functional list of the privatization initiative is Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
Three establishments from the state's industrial sector have also participated in the initiative.
Furthermore, the scheme now includes the State Life Insurance Corporation (SLIC).
Power plants from the energy industry include Haveli Bahadur, Balloki, Guddu, and Nandipur.

The official list of state-owned assets slated for privatization includes the PIA's Roosevelt Hotel in New York, the Jinnah Convention Centre in Islamabad, and the Services International Hotel in Lahore.
